A lovely, fresh lavender stick

Pearl has a strong lavender top note that is truly authentic - none of that “cooked”, soapy aroma so often encountered in lavender incense sticks. Nowadays the base layer does not exude as much soft, milky sandalwood as it used to, so the lavender comes across very strongly as a result, and the stick is a long burn, at least an hour I found. It is very soft to the touch, so hopefully still contains halmaadi, although I did not detect its aroma on this my first burn. The after-smell is divine! I have to say that it is very smokey, and with the windows closed for winter, I had to open doors to clear the room. As I have mentioned in a different Shroff review, I think the full rounded aroma of this stick will come across best on a warm, summer’s day, although I shall be burning it all year.
